Reporting to the Sr. Systems Integrator, in Public Health Division, the Systems Integrator 1 (IT Trainer) will work with the Inspections Management (IM) Project team to plan, design, develop, deliver training for the Solution developed using the Salesforce platform, and provide training support services to Healthy Environments program.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains business relationships with clients to discuss/assess clients’ needs

  • Identifies risks and prepares action plans to mitigate.

  • Conducts or leads team in delivery of projects or work packages.

  • Liaises and co-ordinates with internal & external groups on accomplishment of deliverables.

  • Prepares and presents status report and variance explanation for projects or work packages.

  • Prepares findings & "Lessons Learned" from post-implementation project reviews.

  • Redesigns business principles, processes, policies and standards by recommending best practices and improvements to current processes.

  • Recommends improvements to current methodology, process, standards, and policies.

  • Assists staff in understanding of business processes and logic.

  • Leads team to draft implementation & rollout strategies and plans.

  • Conducts walk-through of deliverables to identify potential problems.

  • Prepares training material and documentation for use by clients and staff.

  • Conducts training for client and their staff.

  • Collaborates with clients on "Go / No Go" cut-over decisions e.g., roll-outs.

Key Qualifications:

Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:

  1. Post-secondary degree or diploma in a discipline pertinent to the job function combined with relevant training and expertise, or post-secondary certification in training needs assessment, development and delivery and/or eLearning, or the approved equivalent combination of educational and/or experience.

  2. Extensive experience in conducting training needs assessment, analyzing, evaluating training effectiveness, skill gaps analysis, providing recommendations to address clients' specific training needs.

  3. Considerable experience in researching, planning, designing, developing, delivering, evaluating and organizing training courses and programs and administering training in both facilitated classroom and self-study setting.

  4. Experience in delivering Instructor-led and Virtual Instructor-led business applications training for IT solutions built on cloud platforms such as Salesforce training.

  5. Experience in designing/developing training material using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia and /or similar web-authoring software applications.

You must also have:

  • Expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements to incorporate into training plans and training deliverables.

  • Understanding of adult education principles and practices and training evaluation methodologies.

  • Proficient in advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access) and knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project and SharePoint, MS Outlook, WebEx.

  • Highly skilled using databases, data tracking and surveying tools to report on statistics and performance with a goal produce effective and easy to understand visuals, such as charts and dashboards.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Superb interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse clients.

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, high quality work and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritise and take initiative.

  • Knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies and productivity tools

  • Ability to create AODA-compliant training content

  • Ability to travel to City sites to deliver training as required
