The Facilities Manager assures both facilities are effectively functioning to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities. To use the best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes to meet goals and objectives. Develop and maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Process and a Condition Based Monitoring Process to ensure the highest reliability of company assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Safety and Quality engagements metrics are completed each month.

  • Ensure fire and emergency systems are in proper working conditions to meet or exceed the NFPA requirement. Oversee annual inspections with insurance carrier and local emergency agencies.

  • Oversee annual alert team training to all team members and manage annual fire and severe weather drills for all shifts.

  • Provide resources to ensure all day to day Facilities related work orders are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Annually assess the condition of all essential support equipment, electrical, compressed air systems, process water, dock doors, and chilled water to ensure zero impact to employees and company objectives.

  • Develop robust PM effectiveness process and identify key metrics to ensure success.

  • Ensure all essential facility support equipment is serviced on an effective preventive maintenance cycle to ensure longevity and reliability.

  • Develop and execute the approval capital equipment and expensed project budget and manage day to day operations to meet department budget.

  • Manage day to day operations in relation to the building and premises to include but not all inclusive; security, vending services, snow removal, janitorial services, landscaping, pest control, waste disposal, etc.

  • Develop and implement facility cost reduction projects to meet energy conservation objectives.

  • Initiate interventions to solve problems with internal customers that are related to facilities infrastructure or outside contractors.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise on a 24/7 schedule.

  • Develop an effective staff training program to enhance skill levels within the maintenance team to meet team objectives.

  • Manage all New Equipment Installations to meet Value Stream goals and objectives.

  • Manage all Facilities Layouts and equipment rearrangements. ensure proper communications have been made and all TE policies have been addressed prior to approving equipment.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 10 years of Facilities Management or Facilities Engineering experience is required.

  • 5 years of experience is required in Equipment Reliability including TPM and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Related qualifications such as project management, business management, construction management, and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is also highly desirable.

  • Strong background in Condition Based Monitoring, including Ultrasound, Infrared, Oil Analysis, Motor Circuit Analysis, and Vibration Analysis is also highly desirable.

  • Must be proficient in the English language

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $136,448 – $204,672 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
