Job Title:Technical Project Management / IT AI Operations
Job Location:20227 N 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85027 (Maricopa County).
Job Duties:Define and drive the activities pertaining to the Ingestion, Platform build in AKS (stack consisting of Grafana/ Prometheus, Cortex, Tempo, and Loki), performance testing, Grafana dashboards while overseeing a group of Cloud Engineers, Ingestion developers and SRE staff members. Interact with the business/technology product owners on requirements and deliver per the committed timelines and with the scope established. Provide status on activities to senior leadership. Build and lead a high-performing Observability engineering team in a hands-on technical capacity. Inspire and deliver Observability engineering innovations that fuel the growth of business, coach team members and grow their skill sets. Influence across different groups and levels in the organization and partner and collaborate with business & IT stake stakeholders to define the roadmap. Responsible for providing technical leadership in Observability engineering practices. Partner with architecture, Infosec, Technology product owners and business leaders to establish a strong relationship and trust for prioritizing and delivering projects on time and with a high degree of quality. Establish patterns for re-use, standards, and best practices for EngineeringOps such that problem resolution has minimum latency and incidents are at a minimum. Partner with the Audit, Compliance, and Governance leaders to ensure data is secured and confirms to the guidelines laid out by the organization and the industry. Drive meetings and lead discussions and prioritize projects across the team to meet business and team goals. Provide Observability engineering engagement onboarding processes for Ingestion, Grafana Dashboards, Custom and Infra, Technology, application, and transaction level observability. Build Observability engineering solutions and production-ready systems on Open Source platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cortex, Loki and Tempo, and on Azure AKS Platform containers.
Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Assess current or future customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods. Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans. Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects. Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI). Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects. Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
May telecommute. Reports to Phoenix, AZ.
Requirements/Special Skills:Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience acting as a scrum master and technical project manager in a software development environment working with multiple SAFe Agile teams.
Position requires the following:
- Two (2) years of experience managing and deliveringObservability products using Open Source framework, monitoring products, tools and technologies.
- Three (3) years of experience managing project budgets and reporting.
- Five (5) years of Agile practices, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, SAFe, XP, & Kanban.
- Requires SAFe/ Scrum Master Certification.
