Position Summary
The Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY ( seeks a dynamic, energetic Project Coordinator to support the planning, development and implementation of an NIH-funded study that investigates ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) relating to the inclusion of adults with disability in precision medicine research and develops a protocol-adaptable consent toolkit to assist precision medicine researchers in including adults with intellectual disability. The ideal candidate has prior experience in quantitative research analyses, mixed-methods studies and interest in disability studies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct academic literature review relevant for the study.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses.
- Assist with development of consent toolkit.
- Plan, observe and/or facilitate online focus groups with diverse populations
- Conduct interviews, perform data collection and code survey responses.
- Assist with data analyses, data management, and manuscript preparation.
- Plan and coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings.
- Communicate and coordinate work with researchers, collaborators and Project Manager.
- Perform additional related duties as needed or assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience
- Demonstrated interest in ethics and/or disability studies
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills, including effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to work well independently and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines
- Comfortable with research technologies and online platforms for research
- Ability to give close attention to detail and learn new skills (e.g., disability accessibility)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in public health, social sciences, or other related field
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses
- Familiarity with disability studies and/or ELSI research

- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
