What You'll D o

As an IT Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of complex IT projects and programs. Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for IT programs in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define program objectives, scope, and deliverables.

Program Oversight:

  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Monitor and control program budgets, resources, and timelines.

  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful program delivery.

  • Onboard, train and mentor new project managers.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact between project teams and stakeholders.

  • Communicate program status, issues, and risks to executive leadership and project sponsors.

  • Facilitate regular meetings to ensure alignment and gather feedback.

  • Prepare and facilitate monthly IT Leadership Team report-outs.

  • Lead weekly PPM Meeting.

  • Prepare and facilitate monthly ITLT Portfolio Review meeting.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and Maintain Execution Playbooks/Runbooks.

  • Implement and enforce best practices for project management and delivery.

  • Participate in instruction of IT Project Management Training.

  • Conduct regular assessments of program performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations.

Team Leadership:

  • Coach and mentor Project Managers of all levels and share knowledge of best practices.

  • Set annual performance targets for direct reports and conduct performance reviews.

  • Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget

Change Management:

  • Lead change management efforts related to IT programs, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT program.

Knowledge

The IT Program Manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:

  • IT Landscape: Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies.

  • Industry Best Practices: Knowledge of industry best practices in project and program management.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

  • Emerging Technologies: Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in the IT field.

  • Project Management Software: Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and ServiceNow

Experience

The following experience is considered essential:

  • Proven Track Record: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience successfully managing complex IT programs from initiation to completion.

  • Large-Scale Implementations: Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale IT implementations, system integrations, or enterprise-wide projects.

  • Budget Management: Proven ability to manage program budgets effectively, ensuring financial objectives are met.

  • Stakeholder Management: Track record of effectively managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, project teams, and external partners.

  • Risk Mitigation: Demonstratedexpertise in identifying, assessing, and proactively mitigating risks throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Change Management: Experience leading change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption in a dynamic organizational environment.

The following experience is considered desirable:

  • Industry-Specific Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.

  • Certifications: Possession of advanced certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications arehighly desirable.

  • Global Project Experience: Experience managing IT programs on a global scale with an understanding of diverse cultural and operational environments.

  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams with members from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds.

  • Innovation Leadership: Track record of fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within IT programs.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience as an IT Program Manager with a successful track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Solid understanding of IT project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
