Job Description The Director, Technical Product Management will be a part of the Global Product Services group that oversees product lines for the company. Purpose:The role will focus on overseeing the teams that work on Cardinal Centinel platform. This extends from increasing the success of the existing products to assisting in the technical requirements for new products and features for Centinel. The role will also serve as an internal and external evangelist as well as ensure the teams commitment to the Reimagining Work & Agility continuation and infusion. Essential Functions: Lead the Technical Product Management organization by setting clear goals and expectations as a key part of managing performance to drive business outcomes. Define strategic direction of Technical Product, in alignment with Global Product Services leadership Provide guidance and expertise for product teams, leading and coaching teams of Product Owners and other functional leads. Maintain the functional quality of the work being delivered by setting and evaluating expectations and acceptance criteria. Regularly review products with internal stakeholders to ensure the products meet expectations. Translate market insights to inform product strategy and decisions. Develop product strategies and roadmaps with a customer-first mindset. Identify talent needs for projects as needed, assuring timelines are met. Drive partnership and collaboration with other teams within Cardinal & Visa, including Software Development. Competencies: Possess a unique blend of business and be technically savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Easily able to break down problems into fundamental parts in a systemic, detailed way. Considers and critically compares multiple sides of an issue and weighs the consequences before making decisions. Applies a variety of methods to determine the root cause of an issue. Recognizes points for improvement and uses imagination to solve ambiguous problems, applying approaches that have been applied elsewhere and creating own approaches. Identifies potential issues and risks related to user perception or response and plan to address the risks. Deeply understands products value proposition to the customer and ecosystem. Can easily influence and lead others during product development and can secure buy-in on product priorities. Identifies gaps in communication loops, cross-functional understanding, and effectiveness. Anticipates and identifies changing technical knowledge needs based on changes in the business, the payments industry trends, and emerging technologies. Drives the strategic vision of how technical tools will be used throughout product development. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications * 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience
