Adolescent Program Manager

This position has overall responsibility for directing and supervising the adolescent campus servicing 12-17 year olds and reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services (DCS). The Program Manager has supervisory responsibilities over the therapist, MHT, RT and intern staff at La Amistad’s Adolescent Program. LABHS Adolescent Program is a voluntary program who accepts clients from all over the United States that would benefit from a cognitive, insight oriented program that specializes with trauma, family dynamics and affective disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for managing a team who put “clients first” and demonstrate a high standard of professionalism and patient care. The Program Manager will have supervisory responsibility over all three of LABHS levels of care: RTC, PHP and IOP.

The Program Manager carries a minimal case-load between 2-5 patients depending on the clinical need. The Program Manager assists the Director of Clinical Services with administrative responsibilities associated with Mental Health Technicians management and programming/scheduling needs on the Adolescent Campus. Essential Job Duties:

  • Partners with DCS and other department managers in creating a Culture of Service Excellence. Demonstrates understanding, commitment, and accountability for driving Service Excellence results through teams and individuals.

  • Skill-building – provides employees with specific, accurate, and consistent feedback about performance throughout the year. Identifies growth opportunities for each employee, reviews/revises goals throughout year and utilizes the performance evaluation as a corrective tool.

  • Attends weekly treatment team meetings, coordinating with the treatment team, family and residents in family caseloads and implements discharge planning.

  • Responsible for keeping the family, parent or guardian, informed of treatment goals and plans, as well as residents’ progress.

  • Has understanding of Common Psychiatric Diagnoses. Can recognize behaviors associated with and use proper intervention techniques for Common Psychiatric Diagnoses.

  • Evaluates and signs-off on Treatment Plans and clinical formulations for all therapists. Audits paperwork related to time-frame/quality compliances.

  • Writes and conducts annual and 90-day performance evaluations for all Therapists.

  • Participates in weekly Clinical Meeting. Assists Milieu Coordinators related to decision making and adherence to program.

  • Provides clear instructions and workload assignments to therapists resulting in efficient, effective daily operations.

  • Provides coverage for Chief Clinical Officer as needed.

    Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.

  • Experience: Minimum three (3)-years direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these: abuse reactive, substance abuse, and trauma. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span. Must have supervision experience.

  • License/Certification: Skills: Current State of Florida License, such as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT.

  • Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills required to document assessments, treatment planning and interventions. Strong knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within family systems. Must have leadership and proven supervisory skills.

  • Physical Requirements: Current Driver’s License and car insurance. May require response to crisis intervention.
