Job Description Overview The IIM Sales Business Consultant III is a commissioned sales position. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team in securing deals and contracts by providing expert analysis and recommendations to clients. This typically involves understanding clients' business needs, goals, and objectives, and using that information to design and present tailored solutions that meet their requirements. The Sales Business Consultant III is responsible for delivering compelling presentations and building strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and support future business opportunities. The ultimate objective of the solution consultant is to contribute to the growth of the company by securing profitable business deals and building a strong reputation as a trusted advisor to clients. Responsibilities Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: Gathering and analyzing business requirements: Working with clients to understand their needs, goals and objectives. Creating presentations, proposals, and statements of work: Developing presentations, proposals, and other collateral that articulate the value of the proposed solution and how it meets the client's needs. Demonstrating solutions: Collaborate with product engineers to create compelling demonstrations of the proposed solution. Negotiating deals: Engaging in negotiations with clients to secure deals and contracts. Collaborating with other teams: Working with technical teams, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure the proposed solution meets the client's needs and is delivered on time and within budget. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions: Staying informed of industry trends and market conditions, and using that information to inform recommendations and proposals. Building relationships with clients: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and to support future business opportunities. Ensuring customer satisfaction: Following up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the proposed solution and to resolve any issues that may arise. Continuously improving processes: Continuously reviewing and improving pre-sales processes to ensure the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Requirements Four-year college degree or satisfactory completion of a technical curriculum from an accredited computer school and/ or equivalent work experience Experience Requirements 7+ years of experience in complex sales 7+ years of experience with Content Management, Automation, or related software platform 7+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements in a specific industry or solution Technical knowledge: General understanding of the technology we deliver and how it can be applied to meet business requirements. Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems, gather data and make recommendations. Communication skills: Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting solutions and business recommendations. Presentation skills: Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to clients and stakeholders. Business acumen: Understanding of business processes, trends and market conditions to be able to make informed recommendations. Problem-solving: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively. Time management: Ability to effectively manage tasks and set and deliver deadlines to meet the needs of the team. Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members.
