NCCPA Software & Data Quality Assurance Analyst I in Johns Creek, Georgia

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for NCCPA as NCCPA will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas. Software & Data Quality Assurance Analyst I Location: NCCPA is a hybrid work environment with our headquarters located in Johns Creek, Georgia. NCCPA has determined that the telecommuting status of this position is remote which means that employees in remote positions are allowed to primarily work remotely with required travel for mandatory meetings, including to the NCCPA headquarters.

As a Software & Data Quality Assurance Analyst I ,you will assist in making sure the accurate testing of software programs against design specifications and user requirements to include utilizing requirements traceability, a risk-based approach for all development projects and participating in test case development and execution.

How Will You Make a Difference? You will…

  • Analyzing test results for validity, clarity, and completeness.   

  • Developing and executing functional and regression test cases 

  • Participating in design review meetings and defect triage meetings 

  • Assisting with customer acceptance testing.  

  • Participating in software deployment planning and implementation. 

  • Performing application testing tasks including planning, scheduling, and executing tests to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.  

  • Performing manual and automated tests. 

  • Helping to determine if stories and their acceptance criteria are well defined and if they satisfy customer requirements. 

  • Working with the software development team to identify and resolve defects identified by QA and system users.  

  • Responsibility for providing change control for all software moves to ensure the integrity of development, quality, and production environments. 

  • Supporting test plans based on project, application requirements. 

  • Providing timely and effective communication and resolution with QA and developers on product issues.  

  • Demonstrating knowledge and ability to learn system testing best practices and methodologies. 

  • Participating in design reviews and functional walk through of application development projects. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Hard Skills You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field. 

  •  1-3 years of experience in software development, research, or product testing.

  • Strong business acumen with desire to strengthen. 

  • Proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution. 

  • Experience working under pressure situations with occasional nights and weekend work when required (production deployments require QC steps once deployed). 

Soft Skills You Will Have

  • Detail orientation with strong organizational skills. 

  • Capability to meet timeline commitments against aggressive deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service under time constraints. 

  • Excellent time management and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and within a team structure. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 

Extra Skills You Can Bring Along

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.  

  • Experience with transact-SQL queries. 

  • Relational database knowledge (database schema, tables). 

  • Experience with defect tracking tools. 

  • Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio tools. 

  • Experience troubleshooting or configuring hardware (pcs, servers). 

  • Experience troubleshooting software installations. 

  • Software technical support experience. 

  • Familiar with programming languages such as .NET, VB Script, C#, JavaScript, Python 

  • Familiar with open-source automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver 

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and the Scrum framework. 

  • Possesses and develops problem-solving and analytical skills and can demonstrate in current or previous experience. 

Compensation Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00
