Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the Manufacturing industry, located in Fresno, California, 93725, United States. The role expects you to oversee and supervise the accounting staff, manage the month-end financial close tasks, and provide accurate and timely monthly reports. You will also be responsible for corporate credit card and travel account reconciliations, and developing your team with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the completion of month-end financial close tasks within the targeted business day

• Generate accurate and timely monthly reports

• Supervise and manage the accounting staff while fostering a positive work environment

• Handle corporate credit card and travel account reconciliations

• Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing leadership by example

• Develop your team with a continuous improvement mindset

• Prepare journal entries for entry into the General Ledger monthly by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs and preparing audit trail support for the journal entries

• Collaborate with global entity finance individuals to support the generation of monthly and year-end reports

• Reconcile intercompany accounts with related entities; verify and journalize recharges

• Assist in maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules

• Confirm correct cost and capitalization of Fixed Assets in register

• Calculate depreciation and provide cost information on fixed asset acquisitions and disposals

• Reconcile inventory accounts and provide variance analysis on outstanding issues

• Lead the accounting staff in successfully closing out monthly financial cycles

• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and standards in conjunction with management, providing conflict resolution and corrective action when necessary

• Set guidelines, monitor progress, and conduct employee performance reviews

• Work with individual team members on development and performance objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge of Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the General Ledger

• Demonstrated ability to prepare Financial Statements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is an advantage

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards.
