MAC Federal Credit Union Teller Supervisor in Fairbanks, Alaska

Title: Teller Supervisor Reports To: Regional Branch Manager Summary This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the branch while ensuring staff members are bringing MAC FCU 5-Star commitment to life. Additionally, the Teller Supervisor will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the smooth operation of the branch and assist the Regional Branch Manager, with developing the staff to contribute to the growth of MAC FCU, through educating members on our products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the staff, and provide guidance, support, and coaching to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Provide staff training and development, conduct morning/evening staff huddles, approve transactions and authorizations, and perform branch opening and closing procedures as required including security checks.
  • Handle complex member inquiries or issues, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and problem-solving skills.
  • Be knowledgeable of MACs products and services, answer inquiries, and provide accurate information to members on all types of accounts, products, and services.
  • Develop and maintain member service standards, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with MACs policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all member service activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address member's needs and improve the overall member experience.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Motivate, inspire, and promote participation in cross-selling MACs products and services.
  • Perform Teller functions.
  • Cash handling, vault balancing, and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the Call Center, including answering escalated calls.
  • In the absence of the Regional Branch Manager, oversee branch operations as assigned.
  • Perform additional and other duties as assigned.

ExperienceOne year to three years of similar or related experience. EducationA high school education or GED. Interpersonal SkillsWork involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
