Hub International Personal Lines Renewal Specialist in Burbank, California
About our Company:
Monarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing, and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency based in Burbank, CA with branches in MA & FL. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.
About the Position:
An ideal candidate for the renewal specialist position will have experience in the customer service field, and a strong understanding of insurance terminology. Renewal specialists will be responsible for reviewing and remarketing existing business accounts. In addition to processing renewals, a successful candidate will also handle multiple levels of interactions with our partners. Experience with renewals in the insurance industry is encouraged, but not a requirement. This position will be responsible for the coordination and management of all renewal tasks both internally and externally. Working in tandem with Underwriting, this individual will serve as a point of contact for clients requesting quotes and or renewal coordination support.
Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with Pen and Brokerage Carriers to obtain the broadest coverage at the best price, providing the most sellable renewal quotes
Understanding Pen Underwriting Guidelines to Properly quote renewals within authority
Rating and Preparation of renewal quotes with Pen/Binding Carriers
Handle incoming calls and emails from retail agents and carriers ensuring the highest level of customer service standards are met, bringing communication to a satisfactory resolution
Release renewal quotes in accordance with established departmental procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and meeting compliance and service level standards
Proactively stay abreast of system changes and company guidelines
Follow up with customers and companies within service level standards
Participate in special underwriting projects as needed
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proficiency in various Carrier Rating Portals, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
High School graduate required; College courses preferred
Previous work experience in the fields of insurance, customer service, banking or similar, with a successful track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude
Ability to work in dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions
Highly organized and able to structure day based on deadlines and pending items
Self-motivated and goal oriented
Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
