Position Summary:

Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) provides a broad offering of instruments, consumables, software, and services that are used for a range of applications in the laboratory, on the production line and in the field.

The Accounting Supervisor will report directly to the AIG Group Controllership Manager, Accounting and will have regional and/or site responsibility for controls and compliance within the business. This role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing leadership to a team of accountants. The Accounting Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and driving operational improvements.

What you will do:

  • Supervise and lead all aspects of a team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

  • Review and analyze financial documents and reports, identifying any discrepancies or issues that require attention.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper allocation of costs and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Own the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to provide vital documentation and support.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades or process enhancements.

  • Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry standard processes, ensuring compliance and recommending changes as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public/ Chartered Accountant or local equivalent designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of multifaceted accounting experience, including minimum 2 years of supervisory responsibilities.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or local accounting standards and experience with financial reporting and analysis.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and delivering high-quality results on time.

  • Experience working in a multinational corporation and familiarity with international accounting standards is a plus.

  • Strong ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • fluent in Czech and English.

  • Less than 10% domestic/international travel required
