Optiv Legal Analyst | Hybrid, Bangalore, India in Bangalore, India
This position will provide legal review and response of contracts for Optiv clients and provide other legal support to the Optiv Legal Department and other internal departments. Projects to include pre-execution review and negotiation of terms and conditions - from initial redline of document through execution - including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Product Resale Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, Data Protection and Information Security Agreements, and other client-facing documents under the supervision of the Director of Contracts of the Legal Department.
This team member will be supporting colleagues and clients primarily in US and Canada, so some evening work hours will be necessary. During local business hours, this position will be full-time or hybrid in-person when Optiv's new Bangalore facility opens in July/August.
How you’ll make an impact:
Drafting, analyzing, and editing a variety of contract documents
Negotiating numerous types of business and information technology contracts
Planning, scheduling, and arranging activities to accomplish objectives and work assignments
Timely processing of projects and contract activities
Providing support to the overall objectives and long-range goals of the department
Occasional communicating with internal and external customers, vendors, and employees and business partners
Providing a high-quality service level to all internal and external customers ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and follow-up
Draft legal portion of responses to Requests for Proposals
Work as a team with other counsel leaders as necessary
What we're looking for
Preferred experience in high-tech industry
Between 3 to 5 years in legal support role
Experience in contract review and drafting
Understanding and ability to apply principles, concepts, practices, and standards used to minimize corporate risk and liability in contractual relationships
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and provide counsel to internal stakeholders regarding proposed contract terms and conditions
Capability to understand, analyze, and interpret legal, contractual language, and summarize findings in concise, articulate manner
Ability to be discrete and maintain confidentiality with respect to agreement contents and other highly sensitive business matters and projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Formal legal education a plus
