Microsoft Corporation Portfolio Planning - Program Manager in Austin, Texas

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

As a Portfolio Planning - Program Manager, you will work with the Microsoft Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Group for the Cloud business. This team is responsible for running portfolio review, reconciliation, executive IBP forum, integrated power planning & optimization, and buffer modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Define decommissioning policies (remove hardware due to aging/End of LIfe) for Microsoft Cloud's data centers.

  • Manage Portfolio, including product lifecycle strategy, for IBP by working with cross functional teams across Azure and Non-Azure business units to drive consensus on decommissioning targets and attainment strategies.

  • Identify vulnerablities with aging fleet and drive awareness with early warning communication and decisions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management with a Supply Chain or Operations field

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with product management, preferably in hi-tech industries.

  • Experience with Integrated Business Planning.

Integrated Business Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
