Amazon Partner Development Representative, AWS Partner Organization AMER Scale in Austin, Texas

As a Partner Development Representative, you will have the exciting opportunity to grow our community of Amazon Partner Network (APN) partners. These partners consist of some of the most innovative and trusted Systems Integrators, Managed Service Providers and Consultants.

A primary responsibility of this role will include working with the AWS sellers and APN partners to help Amazon customers make the transformational move to AWS by understanding their business opportunities and demonstrating the unique benefits of solving them with AWS services. The ability to identify, prioritize and enable these partners to sell AWS services at scale, is essential. The right individual will focus on sales enablement, pipeline management and account planning.

You should have a demonstrated ability to move quickly, think strategically, and communicate clearly. Success criteria for this position will be the ability to enable a large number of partners across a given geography, and building a healthy co-selling channel.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify new co-sell opportunities with AWS sellers and APN partners

• Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts sales, and report on sales performance to leadership

• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g. inside sales, marketing, solution architects)

• Development and maintain relationships with AWS sellers and APN partners.

• Utilize CRM systems and other analytics tools to establish and report detailed metrics.

A successful PDR should be eager to learn and develop themselves, and be a self-starter with a deep interest in technology. The candidate should be prepared to perform against goals and consistently meet targets, with a focus on delivering results for customers with partners through solutions aligned to their business goals and outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience setting up and managing a sales pipeline

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with partners and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, partner development, sales or alliances management

  • Prior experience working in the cloud-based partner ecosystem

  • Solid understanding of cloud solution providers and partners

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • 2+ years of sales experience and cloud industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $135,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
