Career Coaching - Provide individual and group career coaching in the areas of job search skills, negotiation, and career management. Conduct workshops, presentations, and other career coaching activities to increase student success in networking, resume and portfolio building, interviewing, and other activities that enhance student and alumni success in the internship and job search process. Work with students to develop personalized career plans.Career Services Program Implementation Support - Support director and assistant director with all phases of an advanced career development program and delivery of professional career services. Develop programming and execute general workshops and career fairs. In conjunction with leadership and other career management colleagues, build out robust career services strategic plan and implement. Provide career search strategies and assistance to students and alumni seeking internships and professional positions.Promoting Employers to Students - Oversee collection and dissemination of information about employers and employment opportunities to students and ensure that all job postings are accessible in real-time. Maintain LBJ Careers database with up-to-date postings, applications, and employer information. Inform students and alumni of all career opportunities. Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external marketing and communications program to market all career related events and services, including but not limited to alumni involvement, email communications, social media, website updates, etc., to promote and increase participation in career coaching services. with student groups to promote all events.Employer Relations Outreach Support - Provide excellent customer service to all external inquiries from potential employers and support assistant director in employer relations tasks. Build and maintain updated employer relations pipeline and database. Create and implement a robust employer outreach and communications plan to keep employers informed and excited about LBJ. Hold company information sessions, meet-and-greets and other recruiting events. Collaborate on the development and execution of an annual career fair and introduce other beneficial events that increase awareness of the LBJ School and email, social media, website updates, to promote and increase participation in career services.Event Marketing - Maintain an easily accessible calendar for all career services opportunities for students and employers. Employer Relations - Cultivate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with domestic and international employers in order to increase a varied and robust employer base. Work closely with LBJ leadership to cultivate and maintain relationships with potential employers.Internship Tracking - Track and maintain student internships and evaluations. Keeps updated database of internships to share with students. Leads educational programming and both internal and external reporting for internships.Career Professional Development Program Track - Lead career readiness track in professional development certificate program. Assists in finding, vetting and creating career readiness programming for program.Other related functions as assigned.
