Mercury Systems Lead Engineering Technician in Andover, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to work with a world class engineering team at our HQ in Andover, MA! As an Engineering Technician, you will be required to test and troubleshoot state-of-the-art complex digital systems assemblies to the component level. Interested candidates must be proficient with the use of various test equipment and must be familiar with schematic diagrams and test documentation In addition, you will * Troubleshoot systems down to subassembly and component level * Have strong experience working with digital circuits * Use DMM and oscilloscope to pinpoint failure to a particular component * Be familiar with AS9100 quality process (documentation and material flow) * Familiar with ESS testing experience You are responsible for * Trouble shooting assemblies and systems down to the module and component level * Installs, assembles, and inspects all electronic components being used for product assembly, per assembly instructions and wiring diagrams * Read and interpret Job Routers, Bill of Material, and Drawings * Use proper tooling and assembly instructions when performing your job * Data entry and computer navigation skills, including Microsoft products * Maintain logs, provide daily status, maintain records, organize test data * Clearly communicate redlines, including documentation and procedure updates to Engineering To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience * Trouble shooting down to component level * Previous electronics assembly and test experience * Self-Motivated and must be able to be productive with minimal supervision. * Must be able to read and understand assembly and work instructions * Must be able to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams and test procedures * Team player and take direction well Responsibility Statement: Ensures documentation packages are complete. Ensures the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of all engineering services projects. Oversees the preparation of new or modified designs. Assists in training and development of lower level personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the test group.
